A RESPOSIBLE CHOICE: Fur is warm and beautiful but also eco-logical!

 

Fur trade is stringently regulated nationally and internationally to ensure that we use only the part of the surplus produced in nature each year.

Endangered species are never used. In fact, the fur trade is an excellent example of what biologist call the sustainable use of renewable natural resources, a principle promoted by the World Wildlife Fund and the United Nations Environment Program.

Thanks to excellent regulations, there are now as many beaver and muskrat in Canada as there were when Europeans first landed. Raccoon, coyote and fox are actually more

abundant in many regions than they have ever been!

North America is also a world leader in promoting excellent standards of animal welfare both on fur farms and in the wild.

Above all, fur is natural, biodegradable and renewable product unlike many synthetic materials that are now depleting our reserves.

When you wear fur, you are also supporting the First Nations and other people who live close to the land -people with a direct interest in protecting vial wildlife habitat.
